Signing in without a keyboard
On the Apple TV you sign in with an 8-digit code, not your email. The app on your phone gives you one in its Account section, and so does your personal account page on the website, as long as you have an active plan. Each code works once and expires after 3 minutes.
Codes from a guest account won’t work. If you use the phone app as a guest, tap Link e-mail in it before you sign in on the TV.
What’s in the app
Location. This tile on the home screen opens the country picker, with Fastest, your previous location and the full list.
Tunnel. There are two modes. Off sends everything from the box through the PROXY, while For Russia lets Russian services connect directly, which helps people in Russia who use local sites too.
Support. The tile shows a QR code that opens a chat with support on your phone, no sign-in required.
Mirror. When a block keeps the app from reaching the service, use Auto-select mirror in Settings, or type in a mirror address that support gives you.
Until the app is out
Right now a router is the only way to send the Apple TV’s own traffic through the PROXY. The other option is a box running Android TV.

A router comes with conditions of its own. It connects over PPTP or OpenVPN, which some internet providers block. A router login works on one connection at a time, and its server list is separate from the app’s locations.
The iPhone and iPad app turns the PROXY on for that phone or tablet alone, while Apple TV has its own internet connection.

Until the Apple TV app ships, a plan works on your phone, computer, Android TV and router. Once it’s out, sign in with the same account and you won’t pay twice.

When will the app be released?
We’re not giving a date yet. As soon as the app can be downloaded, a download button will appear on this page.
Will my Apple TV work?
You’ll need an Apple TV HD or any Apple TV 4K on tvOS 17 or later. Apple released tvOS 17 as a free update for both. Third-generation and older Apple TV models have no App Store, so the app can’t be installed on them. Like the iPhone app, it will be in the App Store for Apple IDs registered outside Russia, wherever the TV is, but not for a Russian one.
Does the TV need its own plan?
No. The TV becomes one more device on your account, and accounts have no device limit.
Will the app be in English?
It starts in your system language. You can switch to any of 66 languages in the app’s settings.
